Next 33 locomotives and 7 Pendolino EMUs will be equipped to the end of locomotives and EMUs must be equipped to Installed devices must respond SŽDC (Infrastructure manager) requirements which are based on UIC 930 and pren to 5 Measuring of fuel consumption Now ČD test 7 diesel locomotives equipped with the fuel consumption measuring system FleetEye ČD Cargo has 20 diesel locomotives equipped with the fuel consumption measuring system FleetEye Electronic time table (ETD) ČD test on three locomotives and one EMU electronic timetable designed according to UIC 612 An equipment of 400 vehicles with dual cab radio (analog and GSM-R) with 10.4 DMI MAT is prepared. This Multiaplication terminal shall have two functions: train radio and electronic timetable Comunication and remote control First mass introduction of a train bus on ČD rolling stock dates in 1995, when the first motor coaches class 843 were introduced into the regular traffic. National train bus (NVL) allowed to use multiple traction or driving coach and also its later upgrade allowed to transmit data of passenger information system. NVL is based on 16- bit processor Siemens 80C166 with frequency 20 MHz. An old 13- wire UIC connection reaches for data transmission one pair of wires is used for control commands, an other pair for diagnostic data. Now 81 motor coaches classes 854 and 843 is equipped with NVL and modernization of 37 class 842 motor coaches is in progress. Further follow 45 driving trailers (classes Bftn, Bfbrdtn and ABfbrdtn) and trailers Btn and Bdtn. In the project of EMU 471 from 1996 were for the first time used principles of WTB, although that time was UIC leaflet 556 still in a far future. Each coach of this double decker unit has own vehicle computer, which communicates with neighbour coaches. Vehicle computer is connected with vehicle components controll units mostly via CAN bus but speedometre was not accomodated for that so it communicates via RS 485. Later was developed and added the system Telerail for the active parking, it means that the unit is lost with a raised pantograph and with running auxiliary drives and HVAC and the unit is checked by staff in depot. Each serious failure is transmitted via GSM to the ground server and triggers the staff, who can take needed measures meanwhile the unit self introduces safe stand (lowers pantograph, disconnets main switch, switches off the bateries). Because of increased number of traction circuit failures were introduced two more functions GPS and traction converter diagnostic. The first one allows not only to watch the actual position of the unit, but also the position in the time of each failure. Man can investigate if there is some relation betweeen the type of failure and track or overhead wire condition. The second one allows to watch the work of the traction converter in the time of the failure there are stored waveforms of tension and current on IGBTs just before the failure together with other important data (tension in OHL, speed etc.). It allows to analyse the converter function and recover evolving element failures in real traffic without need to shut down the unit into the depot. WTB at ČD push-pull trains After endless teoretical discussions about derailment safety also ČD decided to accept a historical experience of neighbour railways with such kind of traffic. There was taken the decision to use WTB as the standard for train communication. Because the UIC leaflet 556 does not cover all needs of data transmition (especially passenger information system defines only few information) there was necessary to state the national standard. Basically it should define the data in national reserves which are not defined in the international octets. It is expected to introduce the first push-pull trains into the regular service from december 2011 and all 34 driving coaches should be in service in december 2012.
