Physical progress between Ankara and İstanbul is about 60 %. 3 4 ANKARA-İSTANBUL OPERATIONS ON ANKARA-ESKİŞEHİR YÜKSEK HIZLI HSL STARTED DEMİRYOLU ON MARCH PROJESİ 13, reciprocal runs daily. 6 thousand pax at weekdays; 8 thousand pax travel at weekends. 5 million 867 thosand pax have been transported between March 13, 2009 and June 22, 2012. A 16 % increase was observed in the total travelling demand. Physical Progress in Eskişehir-İnönü section: 92 %. Physical progress in İnönü-Vezirhan section: 65 %. Physical Progress in Vezirhan-Köseköy section: % 51 %. 10 ANKARA-İSTANBUL HIGH SPEED RAILWAY LINE PROJECT 11 ANKARA-İSTANBUL HIGH SPEED RAILWAY LINE PROJECT 12 13 AFTER THE START OF OPERATIONS ON ANKARA-İSTANBUL HSL; 1 The passenger share on Ankara-İstanbul, the most intense passenger and freight axel in Turkey will increase from 10 % to 78 %. 2 Travel time between Ankara and İstanbul will decrease to approximately 3 hours. 3 With Marmaray entegration, seamless passenger transportation from Asia to Europe and vice versa will be realized. 4 Social, economical and cultural interaction between Ankara, Eskişehir and İstanbul will increase. 14 THE CONSTRUCTION STARTED ON ANKARA-KONYA HSL IN 2006 WORKS OF ART: 264 in total Underpasses: 83 Overpasses : 30 Bridges : 7 Culverts : 143 ANKARA Viaducts : - Tunnels : 1 Excavation : 33 million m3 Filling : 13 milion m3 Polatlı 212 km KONYA HSLs already constructed HSLs being constructed HS Operations started on 24 August 2011 between Ankara and Konya. Daily 16 Reciprocal runs. 975 thousand pax have been transported between 24 August 2011 and 22 June 2012. CONSTRUCTION STUDIES ON ANKARA-KONYA HSL 15 ANKARA-KONYA HSL 16 ANKARA-KONYA HSL, DOUBLE TRACK AND HIGH STANDARDS 17 18 AFTER THE START OF THE OPERATIONS ON ANKARA-KONYA HSL 1 The distance was decreased from 612 km to 309 kms and Travelling time was decreased from 10,5 hours to 1h 4o min. 2 Konya has become the suburb of Ankara; the capital city Economical, social and cultural interaction increased between Ankara, Konya, Eskişehir and İstanbul. The number of the domestic tourists has increased in the these cities. Daily tours are organized between the said cities.. Contribution to the prevention of air pollution (especially by increasing its market share by getting passengers from private cars and coaches). ANKARA-İZMİR HSL PROJECT 26 ANKARA MANİSA 624 km Polatlı İZMİR AFYON HSLs already constructed HSLs to be constructed The tender for Polatlı-Afyon section have been finalized. Project works for Afyon-Uşak-İzmir sections are going on. ANKARA-BURSA HSL PROJECT 27 BURSA 124 km BİLECİK ESKİŞEHİR Polatlı ANKARA HSLs already constructed HSLs being constructed The site for Bursa-Yenişehir section was delivered and land acquisition has been started.
