More information available at: - Information about Nuremberg Call for Papers AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement It is our pleasure to invite you to submit your contribution to the AMA Conferences SENSOR and IRS² 2017, to be held at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from The AMA conference SENSOR addresses new developments in sensors, testing and measurement science and technology and also includes optical and optoelectronic methods and solutions; while the IRS² highlights developments in infrared sensors and systems. Traditionally, these conferences attract an interested audience of experts dealing with the latest research results in the various fields. Is the leading network and representative of the interests of the key industry in technical innovations. AMA is the first contact for sensor and measuring technology and provides a comprehensive overview of sensors, measuring, and testing technology in its detailed industry directory. The Association cultivates an innovation dialog at the leading trade fair SENSOR+TEST, at community stands of major fairs worldwide, and at the science conferences SENSOR and IRS². AMA also offers technology seminars and theme days focusing on topics in the area of sensor and measuring technology. The purpose of the AMA Conferences are to provide scientists from universities, research institutes, and industry an opportunity to exchange ideas and thus to promote cooperation in these multidisciplinary areas. This is also supported by the social program which includes a reception by the Lord Mayor in Nuremberg s old town hall, dating back to the 14th century, on May 30. Use this opportunity to present your novel developments to and share latest results with a highly motivated audience. Expand your network and link up with specialists from science and industry. Make use of the AMA Conferences to increase public awareness of your organization while keeping yourself up to date. The parallel SENSOR+TEST trade fair, with more than 500 exhibitors, will provide an overview over the broad spectrum of national and international developments in sensors, measurement, and testing technology. Meinsberg, SENSOR th International Conference on Sensors and Measurement Technology 18th International Conference on Sensors, Technologies, Electronics and Applications The SENSOR+TEST trade fair in Nuremberg is the worldwide leading forum for sensors, measuring and testing. From simple microsensors to complex test rigs, from ready-to-use components to individualised services, the SENSOR+TEST represents the complete competence in measurement technology. In parallel to the trade fair, the 18th International Conference on Sensors and Measurement Technology will take place in the Nuremberg Conference Center (NCC) nearby. The SENSOR conference committee, chaired by Professor Dr. Gerald Gerlach, Technical University Dresden, and Professor Dr. Reinhard Lerch, University Erlangen-Nürnberg, cordially invites you to submit papers on the stated topics. The conferences will emphasize the latest research results and their successful implementation within research and development projects. The SENSOR conference will provide three days of presentations (oral as well as posters) featuring results in most advanced research work on mechanical, acoustical, optical, chemical, biological and medical sensor technologies. Thereby the scope is ranging from fundamental research to nowadays practical applications. A few hundred attendees from universities, research institutes and industry are expected to join for exchanging and discussing the latest advances in their fields as well as scopes for future directions. It enables for instance the contactless measurement of temperatures, the motion and presence detection of humans, the taking of thermal images and the detection and analysis of chemical species. Thus, infrared technology is increasingly becoming a technology for a broad range of industrial applications. For example, the forecast estimates a growth of the number of sold IR camera systems in the next five years by more than 300 %. This is accompanied by a strong decline in prices for IR sensors and systems. The IRS² Conference 2017 again will turn its focus toward the most recent developments in these fields. As in the previous years it is the goal to bring developers, manufacturers, and users of infrared sensors, components, and systems close together to present their newest research results and products to be discussed with scientists and engineers. The IRS² Conference in 2017 is the 15th conference of a conference series which was established in Dresden in It will be organized under the roof of SENSOR+TEST, Europe s largest and most important sensor, test and measurement fair which is held annually in Nuremberg. The combination of conference and exhibition enables the participants to experience newest market developments as well as future-related research results. IRS² comprises oral and poster sessions. The IRS² Program Committee solicits papers for both. The conference language will be English.
