Associação Saúde Criança A story of entrepreneurship and behavioral changes The Sustainable Development Goals, according to United Nations Evolution of Health concept All is one. Freud brought into focus the unconscious, demonstrating that in order to understand the human being, a biopsychosocial understanding was needed.... The treatment of diseases generally involves a complex interaction between the physical, psychological, social and environmental aspects of the human condition. Heraclitus of Ephesus Hippocrates Sigmund Freud Martin Luther King Fritjof Capra Nelson Mandela 500 B.C. 425 B.C Leave nothing to chance, overlook nothing. We learn to fly like birds and swim like fish, but do not learn to live together as brothers. There are four basic things that people wish for: to live in a safe environment, to be able to work and provide for themselves, to have access to good public health and to have educational opportunities for their children. With the personal commitment of each of us we can and will overcome the obstacles towards development. Dignity : to end poverty and fight inequality Who we are Associação Saúde Criança is a social organization that works to improve and maintain the wellbeing of children who live below the poverty line by fostering the economic and social self-sustainability of their families. The organization s pioneering methodology was founded in 1991 by Dr. Vera Cordeiro. Saúde Criança is a non-profit with no governmental or religious affiliations. Mission: To promote the physical and mental well-being of children and families who live below the poverty line, approaching health in an integrated way and as an instrument of social inclusion. Vision: Through its pioneering and multidisciplinary methodology of fighting poverty, Associação Saúde Criança works for the construction of a world where human rights and social inclusion are a reality. Reality of the assisted families Death Saúde Criança s action in that cycle As poverty is a multidimensional problem, Saúde Criança s methodology, with its multidisciplinary approach, is key to promoting social inclusion. Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize for 2006 Saúde Criança is an extraordinary, world - class work of heart and entrepreneurship. Bill Drayton, President of Ashoka Saúde Criança isn t just a great idea, it s a remarkable approach to transforming health care. Sally Osberg, Executive Director of the Skoll Foundation What has kept me involved with Saúde Criança for so long is my absolute belief in their competency and resolve. Armínio Fraga, Economist and President of Saúde Criança s Trust fund Sponsors and Partners Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now. Goethe
